Limits, not surveillance.

obacht sets screen time limits for your children's phones, tablets, PCs and TVs. One set of rules on every device, kept even offline. You see how long, never what.

Hosted by us Run it yourself

Limits, not surveillance

Daily time, bedtimes and app rules. You see which app was used for how long, never what happens inside it: no messages, no search terms, no location.

One set of rules, every device

The same rule engine runs on the server and on each device, so limits hold offline and every device agrees on the time left.

Nothing hidden from the child

obacht always shows on the child's device, and your child sees everything you can see.

What you can set

  • Daily time per category (games, social, video, AI, ...) and per app, shared across all of a child's devices: 45 minutes of games a day means 45 minutes on the phone and the PC together.
  • Bedtimes and school hours per weekday, with holidays and special days that follow other rules.
  • New apps wait until you allow them, if you like. Apps that are always fine stay always allowed.
  • Pause now, and extra time when your child asks for it, from your phone.
  • A warning 10 and 2 minutes before time runs out.
  • Age presets to start from, including sensible limits for AI chatbots.

Two ways to run it
